has anyone tried rendering a video for the VR player in cinema 4d?

i'm really interested in making something like that but I don't know how to.

Hi ecce,

Here's a link that might help you to get started.

(It's not specific to cinema 4D)

At the moment I haven't seen a single renderer that supports 360 degree stereo images. There is a way to achieve it but it requires rendering slices of each 360 image and stitching it together. The other options is rendering a spherical image with a depth map - but the results are not very appealing.

I saw that you uploaded samples on vrplayer.tv.
Thank you, I'll try with the rift later today and create a preset for spherical over-under format.

I'm not sure if there are other factors to keep in mind; like eye separation when rendering. and also convergence - http://paulbourke.net/stereographics/stereopanoramic/ - I'm currently using parallel views. I'm not sure if toe-in is better or if there could be a way to adjust the toe-in within vr player.
